Tuscan Moon Grill on Fifth, a unique and wonderful grill with a warm candlelit atmosphere

Tuscan Moon, housed in the Old Kalona Hotel, brings a touch of old world charm to downtown Kalona. Tuscan Moon Grill on Fifth is open for lunch and dinner Wednesday through Saturday. Reservations are suggested on the weekend. Menu includes appetizers, salads, pastas, and entrees, which change daily and include steak, salmon, chicken, and seafood. Check out the weekend specials and monthly food and wine pairing dinners scheduled each season with one or our knowledgeable wine reps. This has become a great venue for meeting other folks who love wine and excellent food.

Main Dining Room

Old wooden floors, exposed brick, tall ceilings with dark antique booths, and tables covered in white linen. A beautiful chandelier and sconces create a warm formal atmosphere. The main dining room can seat forty people.

Bistro Room

On the first floor next to the main dining room. The brightly colored bistro room houses a walnut bar with casual seating and can seat twenty.

Top of the Moon

A charming dining room and lounge on the second floor, appropriately called “The Top of the Moon.” The tables are set in front of tall windows that allow guests to enjoy each season as they dine. The Top of the Moon can seat thirty-five people.

The Patio

Seasonal outdoor dining and live entertainment. The vine-draped entrance adds to the garden atmosphere, making some folks wonder if the patio is really a flower shop. The outdoor patio can seat sixty to seventy people.
